Blake Lively will play Carol Ferris in Martin Campbell’s recently green-lit Green Lantern movie.

Gossip Girl star Lively will star opposite Ryan Reynolds in the upcoming DC superhero flick.

All we need now is some news on who will play Sinestro. There have been some rumblings that Jackie Earl Haley is up for the role but nothing’s been confirmed yet.

I love Jackie Earl Haley and can’t wait for his Freddy Krueger impression but I’ll be a bit peeved if he gets the role. I want to see someone a bit fresher, someone who isn’t an obvious candidate.

Like Hugo Weaving perhaps?
