Robert Downey Jr has pulled out of Jon Favreau’s western sci-fi; Cowboys and Aliens due to scheduling conflicts.

Production is expected to start on Dreamworks’ graphic novel adaptation later this year.

Cowboys and Aliens explores what would happen if Aliens invaded Earth in the time of the Wild West.
