Not sure if this is good news or bad news but according to Martin Campbell, Superman will not appear in the upcoming Green Lantern movie.

Aintitcool, last October posted that “a pretty reliable” source had revealed that Supes would appear but Campbell shot down the rumor in a recent interview with MTV –

“No, that won’t happen.”

Blunt and to the point. I like it.

Personally, I’m glad Superman won’t be in the Green Lantern movie. The only type of movies I want to see Superman in is Superman movies. Come on Warner Bros. give us a proper Superman movie and not those weak ass ones you’ve given us in the past. (And yes, I am talking about the Donner one/two movies.)

I want to see a true Man of Steel movie, one where Kent isn’t a bumbling buffoon…

Green Lantern hits cinemas on June 17th. 2011.
