Has David Tennant Landed The Bilbo Gig?
An interesting tweet twittered by Simon Pegg yesterday may have let slip that recently departed Doctor Who; David Tennant has landed the role of Bilbo Baggins in Guillermo del Toro’s The Hobbit.
The Tweet, which has since been deleted, said…
“David Tennant had to drop out of B&H but by sheer glorious serendipity a legend of Middle Earth and Skull Island has come aboard. Welcome AS”
Tennant made the headlines earlier in the day by officially withdrawing from the movie Burke and Hare and the suggestion now is that he left the production due to landing the Lord of the Rings gig.
I mean why else would Pegg label the fact that David Tennant being replaced by LOTR star Andy Serkis was serendipitous?
I really, really hope Tennant is Bilbo. I love that guy.
