Tony Hawk: Ride 2 On The Way?
Is legendary skater Tony Hawk working on a sequel to last year’s abysmal Tony Hawk: Ride?
Well, he’s definitely working on something, as revealed by a Tweet he posted yesterday…
“[I] just met with @robomodo about our next project and it’s already much better than I expected. Details soon.”
If you watch the interviews Hawk did prior to the first game’s release, he almost admitted that the game was going to be crap as he blamed development on the skate board peripheral for eating into the actual games’ development. He claimed that in the two years that they spent making Tony Hawk: Ride, only one year was spent on the actual game. He said quite clearly at the time that Tony Hawk: Ride 2 would be better as they wouldn’t have to worry about designing the tech for the game and could just concentrate on syncing the gameplay to the peripheral rather than having to split themselves between the board and the game like they did on Tony Hawk: Ride.
Personally I think Tony Hawk deserves at least one more chance to get it right.
