Mad Max 4 Casting News

mad-max-4Nicholas Hoult has signed up for George Miller’s Mad Max: Fury Road.

You may remember Hoult from A Single Man but if you didn’t catch him in that, you can see him in the upcoming Clash of the Titans remake.

Also in talks for Mad Max 4 are Zoe Kravitz, Adelaide Clemens and Teresa Palmer.

Charlize Theron and Tom Hardy take up the starring roles.

Mad Max: Fury Road is expected to be set not long after Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome.

Not sure what to make of this movie, personally I would have preffered a straight remake considering Mel Gibson won’t be in it and if the movie is set not long after Beyond Thunderdome, then surely that means that they will be recasting the part of Mad Max, which, wouldn’t be so bad in a remake but in a sequel will just feel stupid.

  4. An fascinating concept this. I’m 1 of those men and women whom tend to wait for things to mature prior to taking action but in this case I’m mindful that inaction leads to only failures so I will heed your comments and begin to do something about it.

It doesn’t matter who the next Mad Max is (although I do think that Sam Worthington or Eric Bana would be excellent replacements for Mel Gibson). What does matter is the production and direction of Mad Max 4. If Miller decides to direct another “The Goonies meets MTV video” then the movie will suck regardless of who’s playing Max. I just re-watch Mad Max 3 and I’m still a little upset with the decision to change the story line into a ‘made for kiddies, amusement ride.’

Nothing to do with this site realy but I sqw Mickey Churchill on stage. He was in Shakespeare Richard III in London. I thought he had real stage presence.

Further to my last comment. I also saw Mickey on stage in Shakespeare Richard III where he had real stage presence. Not pertinent to this site I know but I just thought worth adding.

Trawling through this website I was surprised to see Mickey Churchill’s name. I too remember his performance in Murder in Mind but I also recall a performance in something about Jane Austen a couple of years later. I recall thinking that he had star quality and would go far but then I didn’t see him. He seemed to disappear from our screens. Good to hear that he’s back. Hope this is a comeback. What happened Mickey? We missed you!

I remember seeing Mickey in Murder in Mind years ago and it sent shivers down my spine he was so good. Mickey all the best! You deserve it!

  11. Thank you Martin Baker. Your comment made me smile today, nice to get a nice comment for a change.

  12. Well Jeffrywith1e, you obviously have such an empty life that you can take the time to publish a sneering comment on this website. Perhaps your employer ought to be keeping an eye on how you spend your time. It would appear that you’re wasting his money when all you can do is make fun of a young man who clearly has the ambition and determination to make a success of his life. And you are? Have I perhaps heard of you lately? Somehow I rather doubt it.
