The Shadow Remake Next For Sam Raimi?

It seems that Sam Raimi is eyeing up a reboot of The Shadow for his next directorial gig.
Most insiders figured Raimi would start work on The World of Warcraft movie now that the Evil Dead director is no longer making Spider-Man movies but it seems that Raimi is keen to get back into the superhero genre.
Raimi was already onboard to produce The Shadow but IESB are claiming that an inside source close to Raimi reckons that he just might decide to direct it as well.
Of course, this is firmly within rumor county but personally I wouldn’t be surprised if it were true as The World of Warcraft movie hasn’t even been written yet.
Anyone remember the 1994 movie starring Alec Baldwin as the Shadow?

It wasn’t what it could have been, but I secretly loved that movie. It was hopelessly camp, and the innuendo between the two main characters was insane. Not to mention the decision to make the bad guy a sort of Ra’s al Ghul, which was just… well, I wouldn’t have gone there. And yet here we are and I’m thinking “I wonder if that’s on iTunes…”
