Up until a week ago we knew almost nothing about Fallout: New Vegas other than it was due to be released this year.

What a difference a week can make in the video game industry eh?

Now we know loads of cool shit. Take a read of some of the newest details floating around the web…

Hardcore Mode

• Players will need to drink water to live.
• Ammo will actually have weight.
• No instant healing.

Storyline

• The plot will focus on a war between the New California, Ceasar’s Legion and New Vegas rival factions.

Character

• You will play a courier this time round which sounds a lot like Kevin Costner’s character in The Postman.

Followers

• You will now be able to command your followers with simple commands like “follow, stay and attack”

Locations

• Hoover Dam will feature in Fallout: New Vegas

Sounds pretty sweet doesn’t it?

I really, really, really hope this captures the brilliance of Fallout 3…
