Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief TV Spot

percy-jacksonI’m really not sure what to make of the Percy Jackson movie. Whatever good vibes I had about the movie were shattered the minute I found out it was being directed by Chris Columbus who you’ll remember gave us the first two (and arguably the worst) Harry Potter movies.

Anyway, checkout the latest TV spot, it doesn’t really do anything to get me excited about the movie, if anything it just makes me a little more pessimistic.

not real sure what to make of the movie…i ADORE the books, but, in a comercial, i saw percy not only fighting a hydra, but also using his sheild-watch, which as all fans know, he did not get until the end of the 2nd book, when tyson makes it for him, so, my question is… how can he have it, before he even knows about tyson?

Whatever the movie looks beast and i for one can not wait to see it!! Critics never like good movies their tastes reflect movies that are low budget and a nobody cast. So there. When i want to hear insults about a highly anticipated blockbuster ill give u a call. Until then keep ur negative comments to ur self!

that was a pretty good jab at critics, i liked it.

    • Keep my negative comments to myself?
Hum, difficult to do when I’m paid to write for a living. Nerdles.com is about opinions, if I didn’t share them I would never have landed the gig.
And anyway, all I said was that I was a little pessimistic, I didn’t dump on the movie and just because I’ve never seen a Columbus movie that I liked and said so, that’s wrong?
You need to lighten up, I have every right to air my opinion, just as you do. Don’t take everything to heart, it’s just my opinion about a film that’s not even out yet.
And you’ll give me a call when YOU want to hear insults?
How big is your ego that you think that the world revolves around you, that somehow you get to live in a bubble and only allow negative commentary to enter when you feel like it?
I’ve got an idea for you, if you don’t want to hear any negative comments then stay away from the Internet because it’s full of them and guess what?
You’ve got no control over it.
