Brad Pitt and Ryan Reynolds are the hot favourites to star in the remake of the classic TV western Gunsmoke.
The script for Gunsmoke will be written by National Treasure: Book of Secrets writer Gregory Poirier.
The original TV show ran from 1955 – 1975 and focused on Dodge City peacekeeper Marshall Matt Dillion.
No real definates to report on other than the fact that the first draft of the script has been handed in and reportedly was well received by the studio.
