EA has confirmed via their latest financial report that their super-selling PC hit The Sims 3 is headed for the current-gen consoles.

The Sims 3 has sold a whopping 4.5 million-plus copies so far on the PC.

EA are yet to announce what consoles The Sims 3 will release on though if the Wii gets a version, expect it to be extremely trimmed down from its PC counterpart.

The Sims 3 is due to hit this Christmas.
