The Lone Ranger Remake Gets A Writer?

The Lone RangerRevolutionary Road writer Just Haythe is in talks with Walt Disney to write their upcoming The Lone Ranger remake.

Jerry Bruckheimer will produce the movie which will star Johnny Depp as Tonto.

The new Lone Ranger movie will be an origin story which sees a posse of Texas Rangers chasing down a gang of Outlaws led by Butch Cavendish. The Rangers get ambushed which results in them all dying save for one guy who is found by Tonto.

I wonder if you can guess who that one lone ranger is?

Sounds pretty cool. No word yet as to who will play the Lone Ranger. Hopefully it won’t be Christian Bale or Sam Worthington, nothing against either of them but they’re linked to everything these days…
