This week sees the release of EA’s Battlefield: Bad Company 2. Many insiders think it will be a contender for Modern Warfare 2 crown as king of the FPS.

Question is; does Battlefield: Bad Company 2 hold its own with Modern Warfare 2 or shoot it in its face?

Well, it seems that if the early reviews are anything to go by, Modern Warfare 2 has got a fight on its hands…

Game Informer gave it a whopping 95% and said…

Not content to settle for second place, DICE throws down the gauntlet with Bad Company 2, delivering its best multiplayer package since Battlefield 2 and a remarkably improved single-player campaign that openly mocks its rival while cribbing from them at the same time.

While IGN.com gave it an impressive 8.9 and commented…
