Sony Are Promising To Reveal A Surprise Sequel Tomorrow!

Sony will announce a surprise sequel for one of their exclusive PS3 titles on Friday morning.
There’s quite a bit of speculation as to what Playstation 3 title will be getting the sequel treatment. Of course people are going to say Uncharted 3 and Resistance 3 or KillZone 3 but could those sequels be honestly seen as surprises?
Not in my opinion they can’t. Everyone knows they are going to be announced at some point
My guess: Little Big Planet 2.

I agree. Our writer’s source claims its a sequel to an existing PS3 title so that rules out Twisted Metal and Kingdom Hearts.
There’s going to be a trailer for it tomorrow so it’s going to be something that packs a punch.
Insomniac have just ruled out Resistance 3. Killzone 3 was announced late last year so we’re back with Little Big Planet. The timing of the acquisition of MM and this is a bit too coincidental in my opinion.
If so then I agree. So, my picks are
1) LBP
2) Heavenly sword 2
3) Motorstorm
or maybe even uncharted 3
This might be far out, but I would think Kingdom Hearts 3?
Another collaboration between Square Enix and Disney Interactive Studios I believe has a good chance. Like the other titles you stated, this one also has hints about its existence; however, unlike the other titles you stated, this one was never stated explicitly to be in the making (or planning on making).
So this is a good candidate, probably better than Twisted Metal

Two things I just noticed.
1) Kingdom Hearts has only 3 of there 6 titles on Playstation platforms (exclusiveness?).
2) Kingdom Hearts has never been built on the PS3 (exclusive PS3 title?)
Maybe this is just a play of words, but if those words are completely accurate, then I would believe that KH 3 will not be it.
But is that a surprise? I have heard that David was working on a new Twisted Metal. Personally, I don’t care for the Twisted Metal games, but this is also a candidate.
Ninja Theory has stated that they made the story for three games, however, the series was “canceled” due to the fact that they wanted to go a different route or something. So a guaranteed sequel will definitely be a surprise. But did SCE have what it takes to get Ninja Theory to build a sequel? Or was SCE able to get the IP for it?
I don’t know; so we will have to see tomorrow.
What about a new Twisted Metal?
David Jaffe talked about it on a podcast I heard not long ago and slipped the release date as Q3ish 2010.

LBP2 would make sense with the acquisition, however do I find that to be a surprise considering Mm have already considered making LBP2. No.
