ryan_phillipe_captain_americaAccording to HitFix, Ryan Phillipe is a contender to land the role of Captain America in Marvel Studio’s upcoming The First Avenger: Captain America.

Phillipe is the latest actor to linked to the role and joins other such notables as Michael Cassidy, Chace Crawford, Scott Porter, Garret Hdlund, Mike Vogel, Chris Evans and my personal favourite John Krasinski.
