According to Variety, Angela Bassett has jumped onboard the Green Lantern movie to play Dr. Amanda Waller.

For those of you who watch TV’s Smallville, you will know Dr. Waller from the show where Pam Grier plays her.

So far the cast for The Green Lantern includes Peter Sarsgaard, Tim Robbins, Mark Strong, Blake Lively and of course Ryan Reynolds as the Lantern.

The Green Lantern arrives at cinemas on June 17th, 2011.
