Remake Alert! Commando!

According to Deadline, 20th Century Fox are planning on giving 80’s action classic; Commando the remake treatment. Commando, which was released back in 1985, saw Arnold Schwarzenegger kick a fat Freddy Mercury-lookalike’s ass after his daughter was kidnapped and is considered a cheesy classic so the question here is, will the Commando remake try and tap into the campy vibe of the original or go the Man on Fire route? It is thought that Street Kings director David Ayer will both write and direct and a quick look at his resume (he wrote Training Day) suggest a realistic tone.
