Mega Man 10 Reviews Round-Up

megamanPersonally I didn’t understand why Mega Man 9 got all the love it did. I mean, basically it was a case of a developer being lazy and hiding said laziness behind the “we’re going true-retro” defence.

Whichever way I look at it, Mega Man 9 for me was lazy and I’ll never change my opinion on it.

Anyway, what about Mega Man 10?

I’ll now hand you over to some people who obviously “get” what I’m missing about these “new” Mega Man games…

Game Informer
Overall, Mega Man 10 offers all the nuts and bolts a diehard blue bomber fan could want in a retro sequel, while boasting even more content than Mega Man 9 with all its DLC combined. The game’s technical ambitions are modest and it’s not a life-changing experience, but it delivers nostalgic fun in truckloads.

IGN
In terms of pure gameplay, Mega Man 10 is easily a better game than 90% of what we play on a yearly basis. And you can take that to the bank.

VideoGamer
A glorious return to the hay-day of 8-bit gaming; a fantastic challenge built on the back of some of the most refined mechanics the genre has ever seen.

Game Revolution
The price point is perfect for what it is, which is another fun entry in a classic franchise, but if Capcom truly wants to bring this back to the forefront, they’ve got to do something new.
