Twentieth Century Fox has announced that Robert Rodriguez’s Machete will hit US cinemas on September 30th.

Machete, which stars Danny Trejo as an ex-Federale who goes on a brutal rampage against his former boss, was made into a real movie after a spoof trailer, which was part of the Rodriguez/Tarantino Grind House collaboration, was well-received by fans.

Directed by Robert Rodriguez and Ethan Maniquis, Machete stars the aforementioned Danny Trejo as well as Robert De Niro, Jessica Alba, Michelle Rodriguez, Lindsey Lohan, Steven Segal, Cheech Marin, Don Johnson and Rose McGowan.
