Anchorman Director Adam McKay Says That Anchorman 2 Is Close To Happening

One of my favourite movies of all time; Anchorman could be getting a sequel sooner than I expected. It had long been rumoured that Anchorman 2 was in some sort of development but every time there seemed to be momentum on the project news would come out that they couldn’t get all the actors together and the rumors would die down for another couple of months only to start back up again whenever Will Ferrell had a new movie coming out. Well guess what, Will Ferrell has a new movie coming out in September called The Other Guys, so naturally there’s been some more talk about Anchorman 2. This time the sequel’s status update comes…

We’re Going Back To The Centre Of The Earth

I don’t know who’s been asking for it but it seems that New Line are determined to give us a sequel to 2008’s Journey to the Centre of the Earth. Apparently New Line are aiming for a 2011 release date which means that director Eric Brevig, who is busy working on the Yogi Bear movie won’t be able to return to take charge of the production. Some sites are speculating that star Brendan Fraser may also opt to sit out the sequel as he is thought to be loyal to Brevig and may see his non-participation in Journey to the Centre of the Earth 2 to be reason enough to not return himself. Josh Hutcherson…

Clash Of The Titans To Get A Sequel?

Deadline are reporting that the Clash of the Titans remake, which took nearly $400 million at the worldwide box office, despite getting hammered critically, is to get a sequel. Warners are apparently looking at a 2012 release date and have brought in Green Lantern writer Greg Berlanti to help them. It is thought that while Sam Worthington and co. are likely to return, director Louis Leterrier won’t be returning for Clash of the Titans 2 due to other commitments. Question is; does anybody want a Clash of the Titans 2? Tweet This Post

Monster Squad Remake Will Stay Close To The Original

Platinum Dunes producer Rob Cohen has been talking about the in-development Monster Squad remake. Monster Squad; which was released back in 1987 followed a gang of kids (The Monster Squad) as they battled Dracula, The Wolfman, Gilman and the Mummy. Anyway, here’s what Cohen had to say to shocktillyoudrop about the remake… “We’re definitely using the original film as a blueprint and love the fun parts of it. We have three or four different takes, some stick closely to the original – others are going to be a bit different. It’s about sitting down with Rob Cohen and the studio and figuring out which storyline we’re going to go with. But I can tell you…

Ridley Scott Confirms Not One But TWO Alien Prequel Movies!

Ridley Scott has confirmed that he is working on not one but TWO Alien prequel movies which, if my math is correct, gives us a Ridley Scott Alien trilogy. His upcoming Alien prequel will be the first part of his Alien trilogy, with the third and final movie in the trilogy being the original Alien. A second prequel movie will then link the upcoming prequel to the 1979 classic. How cool is that? Here’s what Scott had to say when he was asked about the prequels at a recent interview… “It’ll be prequel one and two. Then Alien 1.’ Tweet This Post
