Tony Hawk: Shred Confirmed

Activision has confirmed that the next Tony Hawk video game won’t be called Tony Hawk: Ride 2 as many people expected it would but Tony Hawk: Shred. Perhaps Activision are trying to distance themselves from the mess that Tony Hawk: Ride was but still, it is kind of strange that they’re going with a new subtitle… Anyway, Activision promised more details at this year’s E3 so I suppose we’ll have to wait until then before we find out if Tony Hawk: Shred uses that clunky skateboard peripheral. Although being critically hammered, last year’s reboot took a respectable $40 million in its opening weekend so the news that Platinum Dunes aren’t looking at cashing in this year is somewhat surprising to say the least. What do…

Resident Evil: Afterlife director Paul W.S. Anderson has been speaking about the proposed Buck Rogers movie reboot and in particular the direction he wants to take with the movie… “I can’t say we’re leaning specifically on a story arc from the comic books or the newspaper strips or we’re directly adapting the TV show or anything like that,” He went on to add that he was fascinated with the prospect of… “Taking a contemporary, modern-day, very relatable character and flinging him into the far future. … He is one of us and then he… goes on this amazing journey. That’s what appeals to me about the Buck Rogers character.” As to who he wants to…
