Ron Weasley Is Afraid Of Being Typecast

Rupert Grint, who plays Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter movies claims that sometimes he feels that his life has been like “one big movie” and cannot bear to watch himself in the first couple of Harry Potter movies. Talking to BANG Showbiz, the star said… “It is weird I suppose. I’ve not known any different… it’s the way I’ve grown up. You get used to it. It’s weird – like having a big home movie. If the old films are on TV I’ll glimpse slightly, but I’ve never watched one all the way through.” He also talked about his fears of being typecast thanks to the popularity of the Potter movies… “I guess it…

Check Out The Scott Pilgrim Vs The World Trailer

Scott Pilgrim vs. the World hits cinemas on August 13 and so far, judging by the trailer it looks, um, well, I don’t know what to make of it. The plot sees Scott Pilgrim (Michael Cera) fall in love with Ramona V. Flowers (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) but there is a catch. In order to date her he must first have to fight her seven evil exes. The trailer made reminded me an awful lot of the Wii video game No More Heroes, right down to the retro on-screen graphics. Scott Pilgrim vs the World is directed by Shaun of the Dead helmer Edgar Wright who, as it happens, is also thought be linked to Marvel’s…

Reboot Alert! TV Show Alias?

According to eonline.com’s Kristin Dos Santos, TV powerhouse JJ Abrams is in talks with ABC to reboot his spy drama Alias. Apparently ABC are looking to keep hold of some of the Lost audience by entering into a project with Abrams and rather than a brand new TV show, it looks like an Alias reboot is the preferred option. Kristin Dos Santos’ ABC insider source claims that the new series would retain some elements of the previous show but totally remove the Rambaldi prophecy (which was the best part IMO). If the reboot gets picked up, it will be the second spy TV show that Abrams has in production with NBC producing his Undercovers. It…

Legendary Pictures Pick Up What Sounds Like An Independence Day Clone

Legendary Pictures has bought an interesting story called Pacific Rim from the writer of this years’ Clash of the Titans remake. The story is about an attack on Earth in the future by ‘malevolent creatures’ that force all the nations of the world to join up and use advanced technology to stop them. Um, haven’t I already seen this movie, taking away the futuristic setting, isn’t this the plot for Independence Day? Anyway, I love sci-fi and I’m sure if it was simply an Independence Day rip-off the folks over at Legendary Pictures wouldn’t have paid somewhere in the six-figure region for a 25 page treatment. Travis Beacham, who sold Legendary Pictures the treatment, is…

Sony: The Playstation Move Is Not Just A Wii-Mote Tacked On To A PS3

All you gamers out there who think that the Playstation Move is nothing but a Wii-mote for the Playstation 3 think again. According to Sony’s UK PR boss David Wilson… “It’s inevitable that people would say this is Wii on PS3. But we see it as a complimentary product. It’s a different proposition. And let’s not forget, we’ve been in this space before with EyeToy and all the rest of it. There are learnings there. It’s not alien territory for us but we need to educate people about the potential that it has.” Then sales director Mark Howsen chipped in with… “Wii was deliberately pick up and play. We completely understand that and, let’s be…
