Captain America: The First Avenger, Thor And The Avengers To Come At You In 3D?
Marvel Production boss Kevin Feige has told the Los Angeles Times; Hero Complex Blog that Marvel Studios are considering adding 3D to their upcoming superhero blockbusters, which could include Captain America: The First Avenger, Thor and The Avengers.
Feige also revealed that Marvel considered adding 3D to Iron Man 2 but decided not to when they realized that they didn’t have the time to convert the movie, instead opting to focus their post-production time and energy tweaking the movie’s editing…
“We couldn’t have turned over a version of the movie 10 or 20 weeks earlier for 3-D conversion without undermining the quality. We used all the time we had for mixing and editing and discovering the right tone.”
Although while he didn’t directly pinpoint a particular project he did reveal that Marvel Studios are seriously looking into 3D technology…
“The team has been doing a lot of research into 3-D processes, and we’re looking at it on future films when we have the time. We will be doing it at some point.”
