Fright Night Remake Update – Colin Farrell And Toni Collette Sign Up
One of the more intriguing remakes on the horizon has just got more interesting with the news that Colin Farrell and Toni Collette have signed up to star in Dreamwork’s remake of 1985’s cult vampire flick Fright Night.
Farrell will play the role of the vampire neighbour who preys on the neighbourhood while Collette will star as the mother who refuses to believe her son, played by Anton Yelchin, that there is indeed a vampire living next door to them.
In the original Fright Night; young Charlie Brewster enlisted the help of Peter Vincent, host of the horror TV show Fright Night when no one would believe him that real-life vampires were killing the locals. Fright Night; while having genuine scary moments had its tongue firmly within its cheek, hopefully the remake will retain the humour of the original.
It is expected that Fright Night will hit cinemas next year though no official announcement has been made regarding release dates.
