Check Out The First Picture Of Jason Momoa As Conan
The first pictures of Jason Momoa as the iconic Conan have popped up online which show the actor in full Conan gear.
The response to the images have polarised fans of the cult comic book character with some reacting to them warmly while some suggesting the pictures look like screen-grabs from an episode of Xena: Warrior Princess.
Conan is directed by Friday The 13th and Texas Chainsaw Massacre (the remakes) helmer Marcus Nispel and stars Jason Momoa, Ron Perlman and Avatar’s Stephen Lang.
At different points in the movie’s development both Dolph Lundgren and Mickey Rourke were linked with the role of Conan’s dad before it finally went to Hellboy star Ron Perlman while X-Men: The Last Stand director Brett Ratner was linked to the director’s chair.
The new Conan movie has no connection to the Arnold Schwarzenegger movies of the 80’s.
Conan, produced by Lionsgate is scheduled to hit cinemas next year.
