Hollywood actor Samuel L Jackson has claimed that Marvel Studios will make a S.H.I.E.L.D. movie in the not-too-distant future.

Talking to Radio Bigboy, the actor who plays the iconic Nicky Fury in Marvel’s recent series of superhero movies suggested that Marvel Studios should produce a S.H.I.E.LD movie once the currently crop of movies (Iron Man 3, The Avengers, Thor, Captain America: The First Avenger) are released…

“The Avengers should be shooting sometime next year. Then, some time after that, there will probably be a big S.H.I.E.L.D. movie.”

Currently Jackson’s Nick Fury can be seen in the recent Iron Man 2 while we’ll have to wait until next year to see more of him when he appears in Kenneth Branagh’s Thor, and Joe Johnston’s Captain America; The First Avenger.

A Nick Fury movie has already been released. Back in 1998 America’s Got Talent judge David Hasselhoff starred in Nicky Fury: Agent of Shield, which was actually written by The Dark Knight scribe David S Goyer and was, well, rubbish.
