Epic Aim To Avoid Mistakes Of Gears Of War 2 By Having Dedicated Servers For Gears Of War 3
Xbox 360 and Gears of War multiplayer fans get ready for some good news as Epic Games has chosen to use dedicated servers to handle Gears of War 3’s multiplayer component.
When Gears of War 2 released back in 2008 there was a big outcry from the online community that the multiplayer component was broken. Early adopters especially suffered most when it came to playing Gears of War 2 online and many have refused to go back to the game as a result.
Well, it seems that Epic Games have heard all the complaints and are endeavouring to do all they can to avoid a repeat performance when Gears of War 3 is released next year.
Although a move to dedicated servers makes sense, Gears of War 3’s Cliffy B has so far refused to confirm the claims calling the move to dedicated servers simply “just a rumour”
Expect to see him change his official position on this one in the not-too-distant future. (E3?)
