TV – Has NBC’S Heroes Been Cancelled?

Reports are coming out of Hollywood that ABC has axed its troubled superhero TV series Heroes.

According to New York Magazine, Heroes will get cancelled due to the strength of the new shows that NBC have ordered which they believe will suitably replace the beleaguered show.

Though it has been rumoured that NBC will order a two to four hour TV movie so that the writers can end the show properly.

However, Greg Grunberg (Matt Parkman) recently tweeted that he was unclear as to whether or not Heroes would get picked up for a new season…

“Haven’t heard anything official re: Heroes for next season. Hope it gets picked up.”

At this time NBC are refusing to comment but it makes sense that the network would cut its losses with the show, which after a successful first season has seen its ratings (and some might say the quality of the writing) drop in every subsequent season.
