During an interview on the Major Nelson podcast, Infinity Ward’s Robert Bowling revealed some details about the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 DLC: Resurgence.

Ward revealed that in much the same way that the previous DLC: The Stimulus Package did, Resurgence will indeed offer a mixture of both new and old multiplayer maps which breaks down into three brand new maps and two re-made versions of maps seen in Modern Warfare 1.

The new maps are called Trailer Park (self-explanatory), Carnival (which is an abandoned theme park! Cool or what?) and Fuel (Oil refinery)

The two returning maps are Vacant and Strike.

Although there has been no official confirmation of the price, expect Activision to charge the same 1200 MSP which they charged us for the Stimulus package.

Resurgence is set to be release on Xbox Live on June 3rd with a PSN version expected somewhere between July and September.
