Oliver Stone Says That The Door Is Open For Wall Street 3. No Mention Of Shia LaBeouf Though
Oscar winning director Oliver Stone has left the door open for a third Wall Street movie.
Talking to Reuters, the outspoken director who has won two best director Oscars for Platoon and Born on the Fourth of July respectively, claims that he left Wall Street 2 open for a sequel…
“Why not? We left it open at the end in a way on which we can hang a Wall Street 3. We’ll have Gekko back and maybe Josh Brolin, too.”
Interesting that he left out Shia LaBeouf’s name isn’t it?
Stone then admitted that he initially had reservations in making a sequel to a movie he made 23 years ago…
“It was [Michael Douglas] and [producer] Ed Pressman who were leading the charge [to make the film]… If anything, I had some doubts.”
Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps is currently doing the rounds at the Cannes Film Festival and opens to the general public in the UK on September 23rd.
