Now There Are Two Captain Nemo Movies On The Horizon
It seems that there are two 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea movies in development now.
Last week we reported that Fight Club director David Fincher was making a version of the literary classic for Disney and now Fox have stepped in on the action by developing their own Captain Nemo movie.
Ridley Scott and his brother Tony are thought to be producing the Fox based remake while there is talk that Wanted director Timur Bekmambetov will direct.
The Fox version is thought to be set in the future but other than that slight change, everything else about the movie is expected to follow the classic novel very closely.
At this moment in time it is believed that Fox have yet to green-light their remake of 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea whereas Disney are thought to be moving ahead on full steam with their production which makes the Disney adaptation the more likely to make it to cinemas first.
We’ll keep you posted on this one.
