Sony To Unveil Premium Playstation Network At E3?
It is expected that Sony will announce their plans for a monthly subscription fee for their proposed premium PSN at next month’s E3.
According to an article on VG247 which cites a supposedly high-placed source, Sony will announce a price plan which is thought to cost subscribers just under 50 quid a year to access the premium service.
Interestingly, the article said that subscribers to the premium PSN would get a free PSN game every month from a choice of between 2 and 4 games which if true would represent amazing value for money whichever games are offered.
It is thought that whatever Sony’s plan are for the subscription based model, current users of the PSN will still be able to access all the features that they currently do right now and that the membership fee will be for features that they have yet to introduce. This is what the source had to say…
“There’s nothing in the premium package which will gimp regular PSN users,”
Expect more info at next month’s E3.
