Brad Pitt is finally going to go off in search of The Lost City of Z after the movie adaptation of David Grann’s bestseller finally got the green light.

Pitt has been attached to the project since 2008 and many in the industry where beginning to wonder if the project would ever get off the ground. Well, now it has.

The Lost City of Z follows Percy Fawcett; an early twentieth century British soldier as he searches for the legendary lost Amazonian city.

It is expected that The Lost City of Z will now be fast-tracked into production and could very well be Brad Pitt’s next project after he wraps on the baseball drama Moneyball; which is directed by Capote’s Bennett Miller in which Pitt stars alongside Superbad star Jonah Hill.

You can see Brad Pitt next alongside Hollywood powerhouse Sean Penn in The Tree Of Life which opens in cinemas this year.
