Sega Push Sonic 4 All The Way Back To The Second Half Of This Year
Sega has confirmed that their upcoming Sonic The Hedgehog 4 has been delayed until the “latter half of 2010.”
Originally Sonic 4 was due to be released digitally in the summer but now it looks like we’re going to have to wait a little longer than we expected to.
According to Sega…
“The additional time will allow the development team to focus on keeping the game high-quality, continuing tuning and balancing of levels and interface and overall maintaining the kind of polish that an important game like this demands, ultimately providing fans with an unrivalled classic Sonic feel,”
This news is a bit of a bummer as Sonic 4 is easily one of my most anticipated games of this year and like a spoilt child; I want it right now.
However, the fact that Sega has chosen to delay the game in order to improve it bodes well for the final product because if Sega mess Sonic 4 up then Sonic fans will never trust another Sonic game ever again.
