Simon Cowell Tells Oprah That American Idol Bored Him

Britain’s Got Talent and X-Factor judge Simon Cowell has revealed to Oprah Winfrey that the reason that he decided to quit American Idol is that because he became bored of the show.
Talking to Winfrey, Cowell said…
“You just know that time’s up. “It feels like the right thing to do. I remember the first year when we did this, and it was like an adventure, and I loved that, not knowing if it would be successful, and the buzz, [and] we were kind of making it up every week.”
He added…
“I loved that buzz. It was fun. I’ve always promised myself I would leave before I was forced to go. After a while, you start to go on automatic pilot. Too many times I was sitting there [at the judges' table] bored. The audience deserves more than that … and I can’t hide when I’m bored.”
