Brendan Fraser Will Not Be Going Back To The Center Of The Earth
It seems that Brendan Fraser will not be returning for New Line’s upcoming Journey to the Center of the Earth 2.
Apparently scheduling conflicts have forced the star of Furry Vengeance out of the production.
Journey to the Center of the Earth 2 will now go ahead without him though Josh Hutcherson, who played his nephew in the first movie, is expected to return for the sequel.
At this moment in time Brad Peyton, who is directing Warner Bros’ upcoming Cats & Dogs 2: The Revenge of Kitty Galore is in talks to direct.
The original Journey to the Center of the Earth took an impressive $242 million at the global box office.
Eric Brevig, the director of the first movie also had to withdraw from the production due to scheduling conflicts as he is working on the Yogi Bear movie.
New Line are aiming for a Fall 2011 release date for Journey to the Center of the Earth 2.
