Greg Goodridge, the executive producer of EA’s Medal of Honor talks to Gamespot about the upcoming first person shooter reboot.  In the video he goes into detail about the game’s development.

He explains that the new game, which is basically a reset of the famous franchise, is the first time in its 11 year history that the story will not take place during World War 2.  He talks about the new contemporary setting in which the game takes place and explains the plot as historical fiction.  Meaning; although both the characters and story are ultimately fictional, they are based on factual events, um, sort of…

He also revealed that they have spent a lot of time working on the AI of your squad mates and feels confident that when you play through Medal of Honor you will actually feel like you’re part of an Elite Special Forces team.

Oh, and the multiplayer?

Well, he doesn’t really talk about it save to say that he won’t talk about it just yet.

Medal of Honor is out on the PS3 and Xbox 360 in the US on October 12th while the UK gets it on the 15th.
