Christian Bale To Get Attacked By A Bear In His Next Movie
The Road director John Hillcoat is apparently lining up Dark Knight star Christian Bale to take the lead role in his next movie.
Titled the Revenant, Hillcoat’s movie will see Bale star as Hugh Glass, a fur-trapper back in 1822 who went on a hunting expedition with some fellow trappers. Attacked by a bear and immobilized, Glass is left behind on his own to die by his fellow trappers after he becomes too much of a burden to take with them.
But the problem with that and the basis for the movie is that Glass recovers and is mighty cheesed off that he was abandoned and vows to hunt his fellow trappers down and take his revenge.
The Revenant, a true story and based on the novel by Michael Punke will be adapted for the silver screen by Vacancy scripter Mark L Smith.
Christian Bale can be seen next starring alongside Mark Wahlberg in another movie based on true events; David O. Russell’s The Fighter.
