Oscar winning actress Sandra Bullock (she won the gong for The Blind Side) will be honoured with the ‘Generation Award’ at this year’s MTV Movie awards.

According to MTV news, the actress, currently going through a messy separation from her husband Jesse James, will make her first public appearance in months to accept the award in person at the awards ceremony.

According to MTV’s general manager Stephen Friedman…

“Sandra is one of those rare individuals who is adored by our audience as both an actress and a role-model. Recognising her remarkable talent, amazing range of films and her visceral connection to our audience around the globe, we are honoured to present her with our MTV ‘Generation Award’.”

The MTV Movie Awards take place on Sunday, June 6th.

Is it just me or does anyone else feel a little older knowing that Sandra Bullock (who I still see as a “newbie”) is about to receive a ‘generation’ award?
