Martin Scorsese Wants To Do Frank Sinatra Biopic His Way
Oscar winning director Martin Scorsese claims that he has long held the ambition to make a movie based on the life of legendary crooner Frank Sinatra.
During a recent press tour for Shutter Island, Scorsese revealed who he would like to cast in the movie which would have to include the notorious Rat Pack…
“[I've] yet to spot the actor who can bring back Frank Sinatra alive on screen. My choice is Al Pacino, and Robert De Niro as Dean Martin.”
It’s nice to see a Martin Scorsese movie being talked about that doesn’t include Leonardo DiCaprio though I’m sure Scorsese will be able to get him in there somewhere.
The Sinatra estate is notoriously hard to please so any talk of a movie based on the life of Frank Sinatra is just that at the moment; talk.
However, if Scorsese could get Pacino and DeNiro onboard the project along with a solid script then I’d expect the Sinatra estate to give him the green-light he so obviously craves.
