Ubisoft Announce That They Will Reveal A Brand New Driver Game At E3

Ubisoft has revealed that a new instalment of their popular getaway franchise; Driver will be unveiled at next month’s E3 in LA.

The last Driver game that I personally bought; Driv3r, was released back in 2004 on the Playstation 2 and the original Xbox. Marketed heavily prior to its release, Driver 3 tanked critically winning the not-so-much-coveted MegaGames.com Worst Game Of 2004 award.

The follow-up; Driver: Parallel Lines, released two years later in 2006 fared a little better critically with IGN.com stating that…

“It’s still not perfect, but it’s not broken either.”

Hopefully, this time around Ubisoft will finally realize the potential in the series and deliver us a Driver game that’s actually worthy of the concept.

Ubisoft also announced the rest of their E3 line-up which includes…

  • Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood
  • Shaun White Skateboarding
  • Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier

Plus some other titles they’re not telling us about yet…
