Michael Bay’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Are Going Live Action Again
Transformers director Michael Bay and Platinum Dunes are bringing back The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles according to Deadline and guess what?
It will be live-action.
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise started life as a black and white comic book series back in 1984 and then exploded into the mainstream after the animated TV series in 1987. In 1990 the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles live-action movie hit the cinema and was followed by two sequels.
Three years ago they were back in the cinema in the form of a CGI movie which although was pretty decent, didn’t exactly set the box office on fire.
The new Turtles movie with Michael Bay and Platinum Dunes behind it has every chance to be absolutely massive. It’s already got me excited…
No word yet as to release dates or directors (I doubt Michael Bay will direct) but as per usual, we’ll keep you posted on any new developments.
