Check Your iPad For Worms

You can now play Worms on your brand new iPad. The classic strategy game will set you back a measly 3 quid. So, what can you expect from Worms on the iPad? Well, pretty much the same experience that you would have in every other version of the Worms franchise except now you can play it on your lap. Team 17’s Martyn Brown has this to say about the game… “Worms is perfectly suited to a casual platform such as iPad, and it’s quite possibly the best handheld Worms experience to date. Features such as the ability to pass and play (with the screen flipping for the other player) hark back to the game’s social…

Giant publisher THQ have revealed that they are looking to sign up the best independent video game studios in the business with its new THQ Partners Program. Crackdown 2 isn’t even in stores yet but already Ruffian Games are talking about Crackdown 3. Producer James Cope claims that his team would love to make Crackdown 3 and if they did, it would be a departure from the two previous Crackdown games. Talking to digital spy, Cope said… “We’re looking at what we want to do in the future and Crackdown 3 is a big part of that. For now we’re focused on Crackdown 2 DLC, and the one thing I will say is what we do next, if we get to do it, is we really want to surprise people. We’d love to do another Crackdown game, but we want to make…

New Twisted Metal Game In Development? Michael Pachter Thinks So

Gaming analyst Michael Pachter seems to have let slip that a brand new Twisted Metal game is in development. What’s surprising about Pachter’s claim is that series creator David Jaffe has repeatedly denied that the game he is currently working on is a new Twisted Metal game. It was on Game Trailers Bonus Round show where Pachter made the apparent slip when he was talking about how he believes Sony’s motion-controller The Move will be overshadowed by Microsoft’s Project Natal reveal at E3… “unfortunately, Sony really does have good first-party content, non-Move first-party content, like Jaffe’s Twisted Metal 2 game.” An uncomfortable silence engulfed the show after host Geoff Keighley responded “it’s not announced” to…

Treyarch Now A 100 Percent Call Of Duty Company

Treyarch, the developer of the generally perceived weaker Call of Duty games (though as a single player experience I still feel World at War is the best I’ve played) has revealed that they will now be devoting themselves 100 percent to the Call of Duty franchise. Speaking to CVG, studio head Mark Lamia revealed that from here on out, Treyarch will only be making Call of Duty branded games… “Treyarch is a 100 percent Call of Duty studio — and it has been for a long time now, long before any of [the Infinity Ward] events occurred. We focused all of our efforts on creating the best Call of Duty game we possibly can and…
