According to the Hollywood Reporter, the Cartoon Network is planning a Green Lantern animated series. With the live-action Green Lantern movie due to open in cinemas on June 17th of next year it makes perfect sense for the Cartoon Network to have an animated series running alongside it but, if the Hollywood Reporter is to be believed then we won’t actually see the proposed animated series until November of next year. You’d think that an animated series tie-in for what should be one of the biggest movies of 2011 would have been prepped before now to raise exposure levels amongst kids… Ah well, at least we’re getting a Green Lantern cartoon series. Oscar winning director Martin Scorsese claims that he has long held the ambition to make a movie based on the life of legendary crooner Frank Sinatra. During a recent press tour for Shutter Island, Scorsese revealed who he would like to cast in the movie which would have to include the notorious Rat Pack… “[I've] yet to spot the actor who can bring back Frank Sinatra alive on screen. Former Microsoft Exec Thinks Project Natal Will Fail

Scot Bayless, the former studio manager at Microsoft reckons that Project Natal (or whatever it is Microsoft are calling their motion capturing add-on for the Xbox 360) will fail unless they adapt their sales strategy. Bayless, who has worked for EA, Midway and Capcom was also part of the Sega team who launched the ill-fated 32X Mega Drive add-on in America. In subsequent years it is believed the 32X failed mainly because it could only be sold to existing Mega Drive owners which excluded a huge chunk of the video game market. 505 Games has announced that they are working on a video game adaptation of the cheesy high school musical; Grease for the Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS. Yep, now you and your missus will be able to sing Summer Loving together in the comfort of your own living room without looking like a pair of idiots.
