It was reported a while back that Frank Darabont’s TV adaptation of the zombie graphic novel The Walking Dead was picked up by US cable channel AMC. Well, production on the show is well underway and we’re excited to be able to share with you some pictures of the Zombies.

The plot follows a group of people who are trying to survive in a world ravaged by a Zombie outbreak. Over the course of the series the survivors will spend most of their time searching for a “safe haven” while desperately trying to stay away from the flesh eating hordes of zombies.

It was big news in the zombie world when AMC picked up The Walking Dead for a 6-episode first season and judging by the first pics of the zombies it seems that Darabont is really pulling off something special. Though I’m yet to find out whether the Zombies in The Walking Dead are of the stumbling variety or those crazy running ones.

I’ve waited all of my adult life for a Zombie TV show and with the air date scheduled for Halloween of this year it doesn’t seem I’ll have to wait much longer.
