Joel Silver Wants His Logan’s Run Remake To Be Filmed In 3D

Producer Joel Silver has revealed that he wants to film his upcoming Logan’s Run remake in 3D.

No surprise there then eh? It would actually be more newsworthy if Silver had said he didn’t want to make the sci-fi remake in 3D.

Anyway, talking to MTV, Silver revealed…

“I’d like to make Logan’s Run [in 3-D]. It’s a movie I’ve always been intrigued with, excited by. We’re writing a script now and that should be a big 3D movie and it should be devised and shot in 3D. I think if we can pull it together, then it would be,”

Do we need a new Logan’s Run movie? Wasn’t Michael Bay’s 2005’s The Island which starred Ewan McGregor basically a re-imagining of the cult sci-fi movie?

It sure as hell felt like it was.

The original Logan’s Run (1976) starred Michael York and went on to spawn a TV series which ran for only fourteen episodes.
