Video Game publisher Konami has announced that Ninenty-Nine Nights 2, the sequel to their 2006 title will hit retail on June 29th.

The original Ninety-Nine Nights (or N3) was released exclusively on the Xbox 360. Critically the game received lukewarm reviews with the likes of IGN and Gamespot giving it distinctly average scores of 5.6 and 5.9 out of 10 respectively.

Ninety Nine Nights 2 (or N3 2) was announced way back at Microsoft’s TGS 2008 press conference and will once again be exclusive to the Xbox 360. There is a demo on the XBLA right now if you have about you the desire to take a look.

So, what’s new about Ninety Nine Nights 2?

Well, there’s a multiplayer component (though to be fair there could have been one in the first game, I don’t know)

Um, the visual style is distinctly darker.

And that’s about it really save for the usual improvements in gameplay and stuff like that…
