Assassin’s Creed Heading To Egypt?

Kotaku are reporting that video game publisher Ubisoft could be working on an Egyptian-themed Assassin’s Creed adventure.

The new rumour comes from an illustration which was posted on Ubisoft’s Workshop which depicted an assassin from the firm’s bestselling Egyptian clothing company.

The image has nothing to do with the upcoming Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood which is being set during the Italian Renaissance so that’s where the speculation has come from.

However, the image alone doesn’t prove that an Egyptian-based Assassin’s Creed is in development and some are even suggesting that the image could be art-work from a secret graphic novel.

So, what is it?

I can’t see it being from an upcoming Assassin’s Creed game as it would surely take away interest in their upcoming Brotherhood game so I’m going to lean toward the graphic novel suggestion. It just makes more sense.
