The former tennis star was checked into a hospital near Palm Beach, Florida on Sunday morning after overdosing on prescription drugs.

It was reported that Capriati, winner of 14 career titles that included three Grand Slams and 1992 Olympic gold medal, was depressed over her tennis career and about her ex-boyfriend returning to porn.

Dale DaBone, her boyfriend from 2003-2009 reportedly said that whenever a tennis grand slam event occurs, Capriati falls into a deep depression. Her overdose happened during the Wimbledon games. DaBone, who has starred in 443 adult films, also reportedly said that she would complain of being forced out of tennis due to injuries, which is when she began to abuse prescription drugs.

Capriati, 34, was formerly ranked number one in women’s tennis. She started to play when she was a toddler. Her family moved her to Florida when she was 10 in order to enroll her in an intense tennis training program run by Jimmy Evert (father of Chris Evert).

Jennifer is in good condition and is expected to make a full recovery.
