People magazine is reporting that actress Mena Suvari and boyfriend, Simone Sesito were married in Vatican City on June 26. The wedding was a private church ceremony followed by a private reception held outside of the city. It is Suvari’s second marriage.

Suvari, 31, met Sestito, 25, in 2007 at the Toronto Film Festival. They were engaged a year later. The nuptials took place in Rome so that they could be near Sestito’s family.

A source told People, “The ceremony was truly unique, and Mena looked breathtaking. They are very much in love.”

Best known for her role as Angela in 1999’s “American Beauty,” Suvari has also starred in “American Pie” (1999) and “American Pie 2” (2001). She was born in Newport, Rhode Island. Her mother, Candice is a nurse and her father, Ando, is a psychiatrist. Mena started to act with small roles in the television shows, “Boy Meets World” and “ER” after modeling with the Wilhelmina agency for 5 years.
